One or two days.
Entire teams. The team will work together throughout this facilitated workshop to define their strategy.
This practical workshop will take your team, step by step, through a series of relevant stages, enabling them to explore issues relevant to the strategy that they wish to develop and to ultimately define the strategy.
It will incorporate techniques relevant to the team’s situation and to development of the strategy concerned.
Factors such as internal and external influences, risks, opportunities and resources can be explored. If appropriate, creative thinking and decision making techniques will be introduced to generate options and to select the most appropriate solutions.
Pre-workshop, we would meet with the team concerned to discuss and agree the outcomes required and to understand the current situation and key factors. This would enable us to structure the workshop appropriately.
It may be necessary for certain preparatory work to be done, for example, to collate relevant information for use during the workshop.
The workshop will be facilitated by one of our experienced consultants who will take the group through a series of analysis and discussion activities to develop the strategy required.
The content will be dependant upon the needs of the team.
Illustrative content may be as follows:
Clarification of objectives, outcomes and approach.
Diagnostic and analytical techniques for understanding stakeholder needs, team capability, internal and external forces and organisational strengths and weaknesses.
Creative thinking techniques for identifying opportunities and what could be.
Evaluation techniques for assessing risk and return.
Definition of strategy.
Measuring progress and maintaining focus and direction.
